Learn more about Kim Mogan

Kim Mogan, Executive Director and Founder of GirlUp GVL, has spent over a decade serving in the nonprofit sector, guided by her heart for service and her faith in God. Before founding GirlUp GVL, Kim dedicated many years to mentoring middle, high school, and college students, helping them grow spiritually and personally. Her deep passion for helping girls rise to their full, God-given potential and become the best version of themselves today stems from her own enriching experiences and the grace she has encountered along her journey. In 2019, Kim founded GirlUp GVL, a free enrichment program designed to empower young girls in the Greenville area to know their worth and value and to live from that. She draws on the partnerships she has built with businesses, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations to bridge the gaps in resources and networks for the girls in her program. Understanding the transformative power of discipleship, Kim strives to provide the girls with opportunities they might not otherwise have, giving them a foundation of faith, hope, and love. She remains active in local schools, serving on Student Improvement Councils, School Advisory Councils, and partnering with teachers to advocate for students’ well-being. Her commitment to serving the community is a reflection of her faith and values of love, stewardship, and compassion. Kim, a Greenville native, lives in downtown Greenville with her husband of ten years and their one-year-old daughter, Jolie.
