Baptism

Learn More Baptism for Infants & Adults

Baptism is a sacred and transformative act that symbolizes the washing away of sins and the beginning of a new life in Christ. Whether for infants or adults, baptism is a profound declaration of God’s grace and a commitment to a lifelong journey of faith. For infants, it marks their welcome into the Christian community, where they will be nurtured and supported as they grow in their relationship with God. For adults, baptism represents a personal and public decision to follow Christ, reflecting a conscious choice to embrace a life of spiritual growth and dedication to God’s teachings.

Use Your Gifts Make a Difference!

God has given each of us unique gifts and passions, and there’s a place for you to use them here! Serving is more than just filling a spot – it’s about building relationships, pointing others to Christ, and being part of a community where every role matters.

Whether you enjoy welcoming others, teaching, caring, making music, or working behind the scenes – there is a place for you to bless others and grow in your faith!

A Community of Care Safe Sanctuary

If you are interested in volunteering in a Buncombe Street ministry that works directly with children, youth, and/or vulnerable adults, you will need to attend training to become Safe Sanctuary Certified. All volunteers MUST be Safe Sanctuary certified, and that certification MUST be renewed each year. We hold Safe Sanctuary training quarterly at the church on Sundays after church. Visit our Events page to register for a training, and learn more about this policy by clicking below.
