Operation Christmas Child

Join us in bringing joy & Jesus to children around the world!

You can be a part of sharing the Good News and light found in Jesus Christ by packing a shoebox with Operation Christmas Child. Pick up your shoebox in the lobby areas starting this Sunday, October 26, and fill it with fun toys, school supplies and personal care items. There are instructions in each box, and you are welcome to take more than one – it is our goal to send 2,000 boxes sharing Jesus’ love this holiday season! Please return your box to the church no later than Sunday, November 16. Learn more about Operation Christmas Child here

Sunday School Speaker Series

Join us on Sunday, October 26 during Sunday school for our next Sunday School Speaker Series with Finance Chair, Jim Barnes, and Pastor Lonnie Pittman. This presentation will walk through how we build our budget, what factors into our planning, and where we currently stand with pledges and giving. You will also hear updates on our church endowment and exciting news about our partnership with LS3P as we plan for future renovations. Come with your Sunday School class, your family, or your friends – we hope to see you there!

B-Street Food Pantry

Every week, many children in our local schools face the weekend without enough to eat. The B-Street Food Pantry exists to change that–one backpack at a time. Through partnerships with Blythe Academy and Greenville High School, we provide bags of food that are discreetly placed into the students’ backpacks each Friday, ensuring they have meals and snacks to last through the weekend. Drop off any of the above items to the bins located in the lobby outside of the Sanctuary, or on the children’s Sunday School hall on Sundays.

Charge Conference

Our annual Charge Conference will be on Sunday, November 2 at 6:00 PM in Memorial Chapel. The Charge Conference is our church’s annual business meeting which serves as a link between the local church and the Global Methodist Church. Through this meeting, we will review and celebrate the past year of our ministry and share important reports as we connect our church to the larger Global Methodist Church. All members are encouraged to attend.

Surviving the Holidays Grief Workshops

The holidays can be especially difficult when you’re grieving the loss of a loved one. This season, we are hosting two Surviving the Holidays workshops through GriefShare on Monday, November 5 or Wednesday, November 10. These workshops are designed to help you navigate the challenges of the holidays with practical strategies and support. Whether this is your first holiday without your loved one or you’ve walked this path before, you’ll find understanding, encouragement, and hope in a safe and caring environment. Learn more and register for either date here.

Veterans Day Receptions

Veterans, widows of veterans, and their families are welcome to join us for worship and stop by one of our two receptions in the Truluck Room to connect with fellow veterans, share stories, and enjoy light refreshments on Sunday, November 9. Whether you served in wartime or peacetime, your sacrifice and dedication to our country deserve recognition and gratitude. Call the church office to let us know you plan on attending.

Plan Ahead for 2026

Costa Rica Mission Trip

Jesus calls us to go out into the world and love our neighbors – and next summer, you can answer that call in Costa Rica! A trip to Faithful Servant Missions centers on work with the families and children of Nicaraguan refugees and immigrants living in the Bajo Tejares community in San Ramón, Costa Rica. Your time will focus on building relationships through preschool activities, kid’s camp, hosting community events, a local mom’s group, and youth programs. We will also be going out into the community to pray with and share the love of Christ with FSM’s neighbors. This trip is ideal for first time mission travelers and youth.
