Inclement Weather Update

Due to potentially dangerous weather conditions this weekend, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel in-person worship and all church activities on Sunday, February 1. We have prepared an online sermon and an at home worship guide for you and your family. We will continue to monitor the weather and keep you posted on office closures and availability next week. Please check your inbox, local TV stations WYFF4 and WSPA, and our social media channels for updates.

If you don’t receive our emails, sign up here.

Churchwide Food Drive

We are excited to announce our upcoming churchwide food drive to support United Ministries. After services this Sunday, please pick up a food drive bag ( or more!) in the lobby. You’ll find a list of suggested items and instructions on how to participate. This food drive will run through February 8, so don’t worry if you can’t grab a bag this weekend – we will have them available in the lobby areas throughout the month. Contact Lisa Nalley, Local Outreach Coordinator, if you have any questions.

Read the Bible with us in 2026!

This year, we are inviting you to experience God’s Word in a fresh, engaging way! Instead of The Bible Recap, we will be reading The Story together—an abridged, chronological Bible that reads like a novel. Over 31 weeks, you will journey through Scripture as one seamless narrative, watching God’s grand story unfold from Genesis to Revelation. Whether you’ve read the Bible cover-to-cover or you’re just beginning your journey, this is a wonderful opportunity to see how your story fits into His story. We are kicking off this initiative on February 4 with a potluck dinner and the first 200 people will receive a FREE book! Let us know you plan on attending (and what dish you’re bringing) by clicking here.

Children's Choir

Preschool and elementary kids will learn how to worship God through song as they sing, praise, and grow in faith together, led by Anna Brabham. Children’s Choir helps kids learn biblical truths in a fun and meaningful way. Choir begins February 1 and meets Sunday afternoons, with children helping lead worship on Palm Sunday. Open to children ages 4-11. Practice dates are listed in the registration – click here to learn more.

Engage Membership Class

Is it time for you to officially become a member of our church family? We invite you to join us for our ENGAGE Membership Class! Alongside other new members, you’ll learn how to find your place, discover your purpose, connect with community, and take your next step.

This two-hour class will take place from 4:00–6:00 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in the Truluck Room.

*this event has recently been rescheduled from January 25 to February 15 due to weather.

Mission Trips

Costa Rica Mission Trip

Jesus calls us to go out into the world and love our neighbors – and next summer, you can answer that call in Costa Rica! A trip to Faithful Servant Missions centers on work with the families and children of Nicaraguan refugees and immigrants living in the Bajo Tejares community in San Ramón, Costa Rica. Your time will focus on building relationships through preschool activities, kid’s camp, hosting community events, a local mom’s group, and youth programs. We will also be going out into the community to pray with and share the love of Christ with FSM’s neighbors. This trip is ideal for first time mission travelers and youth. Learn more about Faithful Servant Missions.

The trip cost for our international mission trip opportunities in 2026 have been generously reduced by $500 through the new BSMC “GO Fund”. This fund was recently established by a family who stepped out in faith to make international mission trips more accessible to everyone.

Ecuador Mission Trip

Travel to Puerto Misahualli Ecuador, a small town on the edge of the Amazon jungle to work with Jungle Kids for Christ. The focus of this trip is working at a local Christian school with construction and running an afternoon baseball camp. You will also get a chance to do a VBS program for a community deeper in the jungle! Learn more about Jungle Kids for Christ. This is a great trip for families and first-time mission trip attendees!
