One of the primary ways we grow spiritually and form soul-nourishing, lifelong relationships in Christ is through Sunday School and the incredible community and fellowship that goes along with it.

Anchor

Members: 30’s – 40’s

In our current phase of life, we find ourselves as anchors in one way or another. For both our children and aging parents, we provide security, care, love, and guidance. But we, too, need an anchor, and that is what this class provides us—an anchor in faith, an anchor of support, and an anchored group of people who are all at the same point experiencing the same things in this journey called life. Facilitated group discussion led by class members.

Emmanuel

Members: 55+

We are the Emmanuel Class which means God is with us. We know the importance of putting God first and focus on how God is with us in each phase of our lives. We have social gatherings and serve together throughout the year. Facilitated group discussions led by class members.

Genesis

Members: 20’s – 30’s

In Genesis, we are focused on providing a community for young adults in their 30s entering new seasons: new to Greenville, new to marriage, new to parenthood, or new to a job. On Sunday mornings, we have facilitated discussions to explore scripture and deepen our faith journeys. We also have social and service gatherings throughout the year. Facilitated group discussions led by class members.

New Beginnings

Members: 50’s – 70’s

In New Beginnings, we explore the transformative power of God’s grace and the fresh start He offers us. Through inspiring Bible lessons and stories of hope, we discover how to embrace new beginnings in our lives, grounded in faith and guided by His Word..A classroom-style group with a teacher presenting a lesson.

Roundtable

Members: 60+

Roundtable Class is where fellowship, faith, and music come together! Each week, we gather to delve into enriching Bible studies and set aside time to lift our voices in song, enjoying the beauty of hymns accompanied by the piano. WeCurrently use the Adult Bible Studies Series with other topical lessons and occasionally enjoy guest speakers. A classroom-style group with a teacher presenting a lesson.

Tommy Thomason Fellowship

Members: 60+

Named after a long-time Buncombe Street member, The Tommy Thomason class studies Judeo-Christian principles as applied to today’s problems. Each week, we spend time studying the Bible and set aside time to worship with hymns and the piano. This blend of study and worship creates an uplifting experience, strengthening our faith and building community. We use the Adult Bible Studies Series with other topical lessons and occasionally enjoy guest speakers. A classroom-style group with a teacher presenting a lesson.

Communion

Members: 60’s – 70’s

Our class loves communion and fellowship! Most of our kids have grown up and we’re now enjoying the pleasures of new grandparenting. We have a huge focus on growing our relationship with Christ in our studies, and find that no matter where we are on our spiritual journey with Christ, we can always continue to go deeper! A classroom-style group with a teacher presenting a lesson.

Foundations of Grace

Members: 30’s – 60’s

This Sunday School class is a group of “all comers”!  We strive to create a community where adults in any walk of life can seek God through discipleship and fellowship in a fun and informal environment. (Did we mention we have coffee & treats, each Sunday?) Our class is always looking for ways to renew and transform our hearts to learn, worship, and serve God’s Kingdom. Facilitated group discussions led by class members.

Joy

Members: 40’s – 60’s

The Joy Class embarks on a weekly journey through the Bible to uncover the richness of God’s Word. Through engaging discussions and interactive presentations, we deepen our understanding of the Bible and how it applies to our daily lives. As we grow together in faith, knowledge, and fellowship, we discover the joy in living a Christ-centered life. A classroom-style group with a teacher presenting a lesson.

Roots

Members: 20’s

In “Roots,” we are building our roots in several ways: in the church, in ourselves, and most importantly in our faith- and it has been so special to do it in fellowship with one another. We are all in our early/mid-20s and we have enjoyed going through the various seasons of life that we are all in throughout this past year. We are always looking for different ways to serve, grow, and learn together as we are continuing to strengthen our relationships with one another and the church. .Facilitated group discussions led by class members.

Seekers

Members: 60+

Spirited group of seniors who enjoy Christian fellowship and service. There are numerous opportunities during the year to engage socially. For the past 40 years, the Seekers have put on a retreat the last weekend of January with a speaker and class fellowship. Christian education every Sunday with lessons from Adam Hamilton, Max Lucado, Andy Stanley, and Magrey Devega. The Seekers support numerous local and international missionary groups. A clasroom-style group with a teacher presenting a lesson.

B-Street Kids

Kids Sunday School

Children’s Every Sunday morning, we have engaging Sunday School classes for ages 2K-5th grade with a curriculum that draws kids into Scripture and helps them grasp the overarching message of redemption through Jesus.

Kids & Youth Sunday School

Students Sunday School

Our 6th – 12th graders meet every Sunday morning on the youth hall for breakfast, worship, teaching, and small groups.
