BSUMC Welcomes New Ministers
We are delighted to welcome Rev. Brian Gilmer as Senior Pastor and…
View All NewsJoin us October 25th - November 22nd as we come together as one church focused on thankfulness. For five weeks, the clergy will lead us in a sermon series centered on gratitude. This is a time to reflect on God’s promises and provisions despite a difficult year. It’s also a time to unite as a church family in prayer, service, and faith.
We will be handing out yard signs, gratitude journals, and leaves for the ThankFull Tree after services on Sunday, October 18th and 25th.
You can also pick up your materials from the Downtown Campus church office anytime, Tuesday- Friday 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Please let us know by completing the form below so we can have them ready.
We are FULL of generosity at BSUMC! Help make a difference in our community by signing up for a half day of mission service. We have outdoor group and individual opportunities as well as ways you can serve from home. Space is limited – Register now!
We are Tree-mendously FULL of thanks to God, and we want to give our children ways to express their thanks.
Children can fill our trees full of leaves proclaiming their thanks to God. Ask them what they are thankful for, and let them draw those things on their leaves.
When the leaves are complete, they can be returned in one of these ways:
We will be adding the leaves to the tree to see all the ways children are full of thanks here at BSUMC.
Download our weekly devotionals and activities for Children here.
We will be holding a new coat drive for the children at Thomas E. Kerns Elementary School this fall. Purchase a new coat for a child in need, and drop it by the church office at either campus by November 22.
The Trinity Campus is hosting a special fall display for ThankFull.
Bring your family to the Trinity Campus lawn for a chance to share with our community what you are thankful to God for on a large vinyl ThankFull sign. There are sharpies attached to the sign for each person to write a message of gratitude to God. Take a few moments to pray and praise God for his blessings. Then, take a fall-themed, Thank-Full photo with the sign to mark this moment of thanks for your family. If you enjoy social media, share the photo with the hashtag #ThankFull.
Buncombe Street is partnering with The Blood Connection for another Blood Drive Blitz November 14 – 21.
Buncombe Street is …. thankful for the gift of life. Please share your gift. Recipients are forever ThankFull!
To ensure the safety of our donors at this time, please donate during the Blitz at any Blood Connection Donor Center. A registration link will be available in October. All blood products and types are needed – every day of the year!
