His Purpose or Your Purpose?

Throughout our journey in this world, it’s likely we’ve all thought about life – the meaning of it, our place, our purpose, and asked, “Why?”.

If we believe we are created in the image of God and designed to serve His purposes and to share His love, we should not be asking, “Why?”, but “Why Not?”.

Most of the world is wasting its life because they don’t know God. They don’t love God. God is very small; a marginal consideration out on the edge of life. Every now and then God is brought into life during a crisis, but most of the time the world is too busy for God.

But God is not out on the edge of life. He is life. God created the world and everything in it…for His purpose.

Why not live with significance and meaning and for His purposes? Why be a more faithful steward of your time? By giving your time to the service of others you will strengthen your relationship with God, and give meaning, purpose, and significance to your life.

Our church offers many ways to serve our Father and reflect His love to others. Visit buncombestreetumc.org > Get Involved > Serve.

The question is not, “Why?”, but “Why Not?”

Let your light shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your Father in heaven.
