Emily Kodat joins BSUMC as new Crisis Ministry Coordinator

Buncombe Street UMC welcomes our new Crisis Ministry Coordinator, Emily Kodat!
Emily will be leading our newly restructured Crisis Ministry program. She’ll be providing case management and resource coordination to clients experiencing crisis or a destabilizing event. The goal is to provide client advocacy aimed toward increasing economic mobility and self-sufficiency with compassion and dignity.
Emily comes to us from United Ministries with years of working in human services in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. She received her Bachelors degree at Furman in 2013 and went on to complete her Masters in Business Administration at Clemson University in 2017. Her commitment to improving the lives of members in the Greenville community—especially those living in the margins—has guided her career steps. She looks forward to applying all she’s learned to her new role at Buncombe Street.
