Cookies for Kairos
Matthew 25:36 “…I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
Ten BSUMC women are serving on a Kairos Prison Ministry team. The team will share the grace and forgiveness of Christ with incarcerated women during a four day weekend at Leath Correctional in Greenwood, SC. An important part of the Kairos ministry is the distribution of a bag of cookies (with a verse of Scripture included) to every inmate in the facility each day. We need your help in providing these cookies. Please bring home baked or store bought cookies to the church office at either BSUMC campus between Sunday, October 21, and noon on Thursday, October 25.
By prison rules, cookies MUST NOT have any topping (icing, powdered sugar, sprinkles, etc.) and MUST NOT contain fruit. You may leave store-bought cookies in original packaging. Home baked cookies may be packaged in large plastic bags, plastic containers or cardboard boxes.
These cookies represent a tangible expression of God’s unending love for these women. Please join the Kairos team by providing cookies! For questions or more information, please contact Mary Helms.
