Chris Ashley Joins BSUMC Staff as Director of Congregational Engagement

The Staff-Parish Relations Committee is pleased to welcome Chris Ashley back to Buncombe Street as our new Director of Congregational Engagement. Chris, pictured here with his wife Jennifer and their daughters Kit and Landry, is on a mission to connect people to Jesus Christ, one another, and the local church. Chris spent eight years in youth ministry, five and a half of that at Buncombe Street, before stepping away from full-time ministry to pursue his graduate degree.

For the past four years, Chris has served as a marketing and human resources manager for an engineering and manufacturing company as well as coaching soccer for kids.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Church Recreation from Carson-Newman University and a Master of Divinity from the Clamp Divinity School at Anderson University.

Chris will rejoin the BSUMC staff on April 19.
