B-Street Women’s Spring Dinner: April 18
Our annual B-Street Women’s Spring Dinner will be held on Tuesday, April 18 in Sisk Hall of our Downtown Campus. Our featured guest speaker this spring is Vanessa Johnson, the Director of Women’s Empowerment with our mission partner, Mission of Hope.
Registration is open and will close on April 4. Paper copies of the registration form are available below or in the Downtown church office. The cost is $15 for individuals and $105 for a table of 7.
A few things to note about this year’s dinner:
- Registration is closing 2 weeks early in order to account for food numbers (but it is open two weeks earlier than normal so you can go ahead and get your table together!)
- There will not be childcare offered during this event
- Yes, ladies- it is on a Tuesday instead of a Thursday this year!

Meet our Speaker: Vanessa Johnson
Vanessa Johnson currently lives in Lago Vista Texas with her husband Brad. In 1998, Brad and Vanessa moved to Titanyen, Haiti where they founded Mission of Hope. With a degree in education, Vanessa was instrumental in starting the first Mission of Hope school by hiring local Haitian teachers. Brad and Vanessa raised their four children in Haiti, and still consider Haiti their home. Mission of Hope has now grown from a small mission located on a barren piece of land in Haiti to a multi-country organization that focuses on partnering with local churches to help people in their communities see, feel, and hear the Gospel. Vanessa serves as the Director of Mission of Hope‘s Women’s Empowerment department. Women’s Empowerment began from the desire for every woman to be empowered to follow Jesus and through His power, change her story from brokenness to restoration, and from shame to redemption.
