2021 Winter Blood Drive Blitz
February 17-20, Buncombe Street will once again partner with The Blood Connection for a Blood Drive Blitz, which will culminate with the Bloodmobile parked at the Trinity Campus from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 20. Blood donors may visit any Blood Connection donor center (435 Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC and 5116 Calhoun Memorial Hwy #123, Easley, SC are very convenient) that week or choose to donate at the Bloodmobile.
For the Blitz
The BSUMC group code is 3ACA. Donors should say “my donation is for Buncombe Street UMC” or provide the group code when they arrive at TBC to donate, and in “Notes” when they pre-register online.
This link will let donors choose the center they prefer and make their appointment to give blood. To donate platelets, plasma, and convalescent plasma, please call (864) 751-1168.
From February 17-20 at the Donor Centers, donors will receive 1,000 TBC reward points, which is the equivalent of a $25 gift card! Donors may cash those points out in the The Blood Connection store for a gift card of their choice.
For the Bloodmobile
To donate at the Bloodmobile at the Trinity Campus on Saturday, February 20, between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM, please sign up online here. Donors will receive a $20 gift card.
Help Spread the Word
Even if you can’t donate, you can help by spreading the word! Our community has an ongoing need for ALL types of blood products – whole blood, platelets, plasma, and convalescent plasma (from those who have recovered from COVID-19).
How does the COVID-19 vaccine affect blood donations? Those who have received either the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are not eligible to donate convalescent plasma, but they may donate all other blood products with NO deferral period.
