2021 Spring Blood Drive
On Sunday, May 2, Buncombe Street will once again partner with The Blood Connection for our Spring Blood Drive. Bloodmobiles will be parked on both campuses that morning – from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM Downtown, and from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Trinity. All donors will receive a free Scout Box Lunch AND a Chick-fil-A gift card.
The Blood Connection is offering new COVID-19 Antibody Testing as a service to all donors. TBC’s new antibody test now checks for a natural immune response to the virus AND a response from any of the COVID-19 vaccines. Donors will receive a ‘positive’ or ‘negative’ result in their donor portal. Results will be made available up to 7 business days after donation.
Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registrations really help The Blood Connection plan for enough staff to keep things moving quickly. Please use the buttons below to pre-register and reserve your time.
Help Spread the Word
Even if you can’t donate, you can help by spreading the word! Our community has an ongoing need for ALL types of blood products – whole blood, platelets, plasma, and convalescent plasma (from those who have recovered from COVID-19).
How does the COVID-19 vaccine affect blood donations? Those who have received the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines are not eligible to donate convalescent plasma, but they may donate all other blood products with NO deferral period.
